Emissions from sheep cattle can be reduced by feeding them eligible additives:
1. Canola meal
2. Cold pressed canola meal
3. Brewers grain
4. Dried distillers grain
5. Hominy meal

What Can I Do?

While feeding dietary additives to sheep is not currently a listed carbon farming project with the Clean Energy Regulator (CER), this action can reduce emissions and improve livestock productivity in sheep. Belched methane represents energy lost from your production system that might otherwise be converted to the milk, meat or fibre that generates income.
