Collecting FOGO and diverting from landfill

What Can I Do?

Food Organics Garden Organics (or FOGO) is a kerbside collection service that allows food scraps to be added to the garden waste bin and turned into compost. Diverting organic waste from landfill significantly reduces greenhouse gases, while recovering compost for future use. So far over 25% of councils across Australia have the FOGO system in place, 15 of which are in WA, including the City of Albany. Support your local council to adopt FOGO and if you already have FOGO in your council, help to make beautiful healthy compost by taking time to put the right materials in the right bin.
